Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Interior Minister Thomas Strobl had to answer questions from MPs in the committee of inquiry into the police affair for hours on Friday. For three and a half hours it was all about the so-called letter affair of the CDU politician and the money requirement of 15,000 euros, which he now wants to pay to end the proceedings against him. Towards the end, Strobl seemed increasingly annoyed by the probing and repetitive questions from the opposition. With the words “I’m embarrassed” he finally left the hall in the state parliament. Among other things, the survey revolved around when he received the offer of the money requirement and the question of why his ministry had stopped investigations by the public prosecutor. The survey hardly yielded any concrete new insights.
