Berchtesgaden (dpa / lby) – When a vehicle crashed in the Berchtesgaden Alps, a man and a woman sustained injuries on Thursday. The 40-year-old and his 19-year-old passenger were on a supply trip in the Lattengebirge when they fell through an embankment and were thrown from the open SUV, as the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) announced. Both occupants were taken to hospitals.
The vehicle fell 20 to 30 meters deep. Helpers alerted rescue workers and provided first aid. In the rescue, a rescue helicopter was used, which transported the 40-year-old to a clinic.
