Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – The corona incidence in North Rhine-Westphalia has increased slightly. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value on Friday as 651.6. The incidence was thus slightly higher than on Thursday (642.2) and a week ago (628.9).

Within 24 hours, 22,393 confirmed new cases and 41 deaths related to the corona virus were added in NRW.

However, this information only provides a very incomplete picture of the number of infections. Experts have been assuming for a long time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI – mainly because by far not all infected people have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics. In addition, late registrations and transmission problems can lead to the distortion of individual daily values.
