Groß-Umstadt (dpa/lhe) – A drunk 54-year-old driver fled from a police check on federal highway 26 in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district. A driver reported a very unsafe driving car on Thursday evening, as the police announced early Friday morning. A police patrol found the car; however, the driver ignored the stop signs. A chase ensued. After about ten minutes, the police stopped the 54-year-old with the help of several patrol cars. A breath alcohol test reportedly showed 1.5 per mille. The police seized the driver’s license and the woman was released to go home.
