Stolberg (dpa / lnw) – After the violent death of a 39-year-old man in Stolberg near Aachen, a suspect is to come before the magistrate. The 32-year-old is accused of having treacherously killed his acquaintance, police and prosecutors said on Wednesday. The suspect has no permanent address. He was arrested on Tuesday in the city of Aachen.
The investigators said that according to previous knowledge, both men belonged to the drug milieu. They knew each other before the fact. Investigations into the motive and weapon were ongoing. Various objects were found in the victim’s apartment. The public prosecutor’s office said it was being investigated whether the murder weapon was among them.
The 39-year-old was found dead in his apartment on Sunday by the police. Local residents had notified the police. According to investigators, the autopsy confirmed that the man died as a result of “sharp force”.
