The Civil Guard has been able to verify that the forest fire that started on August 15 on Mount Arafo, on the island of Tenerife, was provoked.
This was stated this Sunday by the president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, during a press conference in which he added that, in this sense, the meritorious woman currently has three lines of investigation.
In this way, the top regional leader pointed out that it is not necessary to interfere and let the agents continue working to arrest the alleged perpetrators “who have endangered the lives of thousands of people and material goods.”
“We already knew from the beginning [about the fact that it was an arson attack] and it could be confirmed yesterday, Saturday,” the president concluded.
