Lauingen (dpa / lby) – A man in Swabia discovered a grenade while illegally fishing in the Danube. The police said on Monday that it was a hand grenade from World War II. The site in Lauingen (Dillingen an der Donau district) was cordoned off on Sunday. The grenade was picked up by the demolition squad. The 44-year-old finder was reported because he did not have a fishing license. A farmer in Eppishausen (Unterallgäu district) had already found a grenade on Saturday.
