Wallersdorf (dpa / lby) – A 24-year-old without a driver’s license was critically injured when he lost control on the Autobahn 92 in Lower Bavaria and crashed into a semi-trailer. His 28-year-old passenger was seriously injured. According to police reports from Sunday, the 24-year-old lost control on Saturday near Wallersdorf (Dingolfing-Landau district) because of his “massively excessive speed” on the wet road. The car was then thrown to the right, crashing through the wildlife fence and a pasture fence. After about 200 meters, the car crashed head-on into the parked trailer.

The trapped men were freed and taken to hospitals where they underwent surgery, a police spokesman said. The 24-year-old now has to answer for negligent bodily harm and driving without a license. The A92 was closed for a short time in the direction of Deggendorf.
