Cologne (dpa / lnw) – A drunk accident driver tried to hide from the police in Velbert in the trunk. According to the officials, the man had left the road with his car on Thursday evening and drove into a telephone junction box. Witnesses then observed how he fled the scene of the accident – so they called the police.
They soon located the vehicle, but couldn’t find the driver. According to the information, that changed when they opened the trunk. “Here the driver tried to hide from the police,” it said in a statement on Friday. The 26-year-old was not only drunk, but was also under the influence of drugs. Also, he didn’t have a driver’s license.
