Leipzig (dpa / sn) – A drunk van driver bumped into a police car during a check on a motorway parking lot near Leipzig. As the police announced on Sunday, the patrol car was damaged, but could still drive. Witnesses had previously noticed the unsafe driving style of the van on Autobahn 14 on Saturday evening. When the officials wanted to check the 29-year-old, he also hit a guardrail when driving into the parking lot. An alcohol test showed the man a value of 1.24 per mille. His driver’s license was confiscated.
