Munich (dpa / lby) – A fall in the weather is not in the house, but the sunny late summer days are over in Bavaria for the time being. “It will be autumnal, but not really wet for the time being. But there can be no more talk of Indian summer,” said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Sunday about the prospects for the coming days.
On Sunday, the weather in the Free State was still divided: “In Franconia there is a lot of sun after the last foggy fields in the river valleys have cleared. There are already dense clouds on the edge of the Alps, but they do not completely shield the sun, and there are also veil clouds in large parts of the foothills of the Alps “, explained the weather expert. This cloud field spreads northwards during the day, but apart from a few drops at the edge of the Alps it brings no precipitation.
On Monday, the meteorologists also expect a lot of clouds, but only isolated precipitation in the form of showers, most likely at the edge of the Alps. “On Tuesday we also see quite a lot of clouds, but hardly any rain, Wednesday will be similar, only towards the end of the week, especially on Friday, possibly already on Thursday, will there be some widespread rain,” explained the DWD expert.
“Temperatures are about average for the time of year,” he added. While maximum values ??of between 13 and 18 degrees were expected for Sunday, and Monday should sometimes even bring 20 degrees, it will then cool down to around 15 degrees maximum temperature. “And tend to be even less towards the end of the week.”
