Fürth (dpa / lby) – After the liberating first win of the season against the top team of SC Paderborn, coach Marc Schneider sends the football professionals of SpVgg Greuther Fürth into the next home game against SV Sandhausen with an expected target. Follow up is the route to take in the 2nd Bundesliga this Saturday (1 p.m.) in the Ronhof in Fürth.
“We want to have that feeling of victory again. We will do everything we can to show a good performance against Sandhausen and keep the three points,” Schneider announced on Friday. The Swiss confirmed the great importance that the 2-1 win against Paderborn two weeks ago had for the club, the players, but also for him as a coach: “It’s a different emotional state. You noticed with the boys that there was a certain burden fell off.” This could also be seen in him after the final whistle.
The Fürth are still on a relegation zone. Sandhausen only has one more point on the account. His team is “absolutely aware” that the opponent is a “physical team” that is uncomfortable to play on. That’s why it’s important to be callous in front of goal, “because you don’t normally get that many chances.”
