Essen (dpa / lnw) – In the process of violently killing a six-year-old girl from Bottrop, the Essen district court wants to pronounce the verdict on Friday (9:00 a.m.). The child’s mother is accused. On the night of January 28, 2022, she is said to have first tried to drown her daughter in the bathtub and then cut the girl deeply in the neck. Prosecutors believe the defendant killed her daughter to take her away from her estranged husband, who had recently been granted extended visitation rights.
She herself confessed to the killing in the process, but referred to gaps in her memory. Prosecutors have asked for eleven years in prison for murder.
