Munich (dpa / lby) – The weather in Bavaria remains mixed in the direction of the long weekend. Although the rain of the past few days has subsided somewhat, according to the German Weather Service (DWD), individual showers also run through the last few days of the Wiesn. The Oktoberfest had already opened in mid-September when it was raining – it may end with similar weather at the weekend.
Overall, there was a comparatively large amount of rain in Bavaria in September – with an average of around 122 liters per square meter compared to the long-term average of around 72 liters per square meter.
According to DWD information, Thursday morning is still characterized by rain, especially in southern Bavaria. In addition to individual showers, there are also short sunny phases during the day, with temperatures between 10 and 14 degrees. Apart from a few drops, Friday will remain largely dry, with temperatures up to 16 degrees.
However, the temperatures are slowly rising, on Saturday they should reach up to 18 degrees. The morning was dry at first, with some patches of fog. During the day, the rain will move from the north-west towards the edge of the Alps, and it will remain wet on Sunday night. Showers are also to be expected in many places on the holiday on Monday.
