Bochum (dpa / lnw) – A fire broke out on a train while traveling towards Dortmund. There was smoke on one of the rear passenger cars on Sunday evening, according to the fire brigade. The engine driver then immediately drove the ICE to Bochum Central Station, where the train was evacuated and de-energized. When firefighters arrived, they said there was no more smoke. All tracks were closed during the operation for safety reasons. According to the fire department, the cause of the fire is unclear and no one was injured.
