Leipzig (dpa/sn) – In Saxony, people in numerous cities protested against the corona measures, against the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and rising inflation on Monday evening. According to information from Tuesday, the police in Leipzig counted around 1,200 participants at an event. There were also demonstrations in Dresden. However, the police did not provide any information on the number of participants.
In the former Saxon Corona demo hotspots in the Görlitz and Bautzen districts, the police reported 3,700 participants. The police filed criminal charges in eleven cases for violations of the assembly law. In Radeberg, the police are investigating on suspicion of a threat. According to the officials, several strangers stood around a woman’s vehicle during a meeting and kicked the body.
