The Madrid law firm Balfagón-Chippirrás will collaborate with defense lawyers in Thailand for Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, who has confessed to the murder in that country of Colombian Edwin Arrieta, after being hired by the defendant’s parents, actor Rodolfo Sancho and Silvia Bronch it.
This has been indicated by Sancho and Bronchalo in a statement sent to EFE this Friday in which they assure that the Balfagón-Chippirrás criminological-legal office will be in charge of collaborating with the Thai lawyer, also hired by the family, and will act as spokespersons before the media.
Sancho’s lawyer in Thailand is Anan Chuayprabat, known as Khun Anan, belonging to the law firm directed by Fernando Oca and who was hired by the family after being assisted the first days by public defenders.
Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, 29, was brought before the courts last Monday and has been in provisional prison ever since in Koh Samui, in southern Thailand, awaiting trial, accused by the police of the murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta, a Colombian plastic surgeon.
The two men met in Koh Phangan, an island near Samui, on Wednesday, August 2, according to the police report, the day Arrieta arrived on the island and when the crime initially took place, confessed by Sancho to the police on Saturday, August 5.
