Görlitz (dpa / sn) – A drunk man threatened several citizens and police forces in Görlitz. The 28-year-old initially bought alcohol at a gas station several times on Sunday evening, the police said on Monday. When he ran out of money, he became increasingly aggressive, which is why the employees at the gas station sent him out of the shop. He then ran in the direction of the train station, knocked over a motorcycle and damaged other vehicles. When three people spoke to him about his behavior, the man hit one of them on the ear with the flat of his hand and made further threats.

After the police arrived, the man threw a glass bottle at one of the officers, but narrowly missed him. During the arrest, the man also threatened and insulted the police officers. Overall, according to the police, the man caused property damage of around 3150 euros. Reports of bodily harm, physical assault on law enforcement officials, insult, threats, property damage and violation of the Narcotics Act were reported against him.
