Bad Langensalza (dpa/th) – Five people were injured in an accident on the Bad Langensalza bypass. First, a 64-year-old crashed his car into an oncoming truck on Monday for reasons that are not yet clear, the police said. A 44-year-old driving behind the man’s car drove into her car.
Four seriously injured – in addition to the two drivers and their passengers – were taken to a hospital. A rescue helicopter was also used. Another passenger in the 64-year-old’s car suffered minor injuries.
Due to the extensive recording of the accident and the recovery of the vehicles, the federal highway 84 was closed for four and a half hours. The total damage is currently estimated at around 50,000 euros.
