Berlin / Schwerin (dpa / mv) – The Schwerin member of the Bundestag Ina Latendorf (Die Linke) calls for more wildlife protection fences along the federal motorways A14 and A24 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In 2020 there were 283 wildlife accidents on the two autobahns in the state, Latendorf announced on Monday. A year earlier it was 306. “Almost all of these accidents happened in areas where there are no game fences.” Alone on the A24 across the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim there were no wildlife fences on a stretch of around 60 kilometers of motorway.
