Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – After a Christopher Street Day event last Saturday in Dortmund, three young participants are said to have been beaten and injured. The two men, aged 21, and the 18-year-old woman were treated by an ambulance at the scene, a police spokesman said on Friday. The two suspects ran away, according to the description they are said to be 16 or 17 years old.

The Slado association, an umbrella organization for the queer community in Dortmund, first drew attention to the attack on Friday. The day after the CSD, the police still spoke of an “exceptionally peaceful assembly”. According to the police spokesman, the attack happened on Friday on Friedensplatz, where the demo with around 7,000 participants took place – around 8:50 p.m., about three hours after the end of the event.

The two suspects are said to have first approached the three victims and said they wanted to interview them, the police spokesman said. When the three refused, they were beaten. Nothing can be said about the motive. Slado also reported that at the CSD, a participant was spat on and eggs were thrown at the demo train. The police didn’t know anything about this.

According to Slado, right-wing extremists also took photos of individual participants and published them on Telegram channels. According to a police report on Sunday, two right-wing extremists were given places at the main train station that day.
