Rostock (dpa / mv) – Midfielder Dong-Gyeong Lee is about to make his debut with second division football club FC Hansa Rostock. Coach Jens Härtel has promised the South Korean, who was loaned out from Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 last week, in the away game next Saturday evening (8:30 p.m. / Sky and Sport1) at Fortuna Düsseldorf. “It’s an option for Lee to get playing time. He has the quality and a good left foot,” Hartel said on Thursday.

The 24-year-old offensive man Lee was already part of the Hanseatic squad in the home game against Hannover 96 (0-1) three days after his commitment, but was only on the bench. The other two professionals signed last week, central defender Rick van Drongelen (Union Berlin) and left-back Anderson Lucoqui (Mainz 05), were in the starting XI.

Midfielder Simon Rhein, who is suffering from a foot injury, will also be absent. The involvement of Ryan Malone is also questionable. The central defender has not trained this week due to injury.

After the last two defeats without their own goal, the Mecklenburgers finally want to score again in the duel between the two former Bundesliga clubs. “If we can perform as well as we can. The lads are very focused,” said Härtel.
