Tick ??tock. While the clock is ticking to declare your real estate for taxes, the tax site was the victim of a technical breakdown, as was the customs site, as noted by the Actu.fr site.

For several hours this afternoon, it was impossible to access the impots.gouv.fr site on which owners must nevertheless declare their real estate until Thursday, the latest deadline. By Wednesday evening, the site had returned, indicating that it was “temporarily under maintenance”.

“During this intervention, you cannot view documentation and news or download forms,” ??he said.

Earlier in the day, the customs site had encountered the same problem. It too seems to have returned to normal on Wednesday evening and the web page mentions “online services” which are “working again”. Although “side effects” that will require “request for assistance” are expected from time to time.

This is not the first time that the tax site has been subject to computer failures. Already, at the beginning of this month of August, the deadline for declaring your real estate had been postponed by one day due to connection problems, then until Thursday, August 10.
