Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – In 2020, people in the Hochtaunus district achieved the highest disposable income in Hesse on average. With an average of 33,600 euros per capita, the value was 37 percent above the state average of 24,450 euros, as announced by the State Statistical Office in Wiesbaden on Thursday. In Offenbach, the average income was the lowest in the country at 19,640 euros.
According to the statisticians’ definition, disposable income is the money that private households can use entirely for consumption and saving. Overall, it was 24,450 euros in Hesse for 2020 and thus 700 euros or three percent more than that of the federal government.
