Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The comic heroes “Abrafaxe” now also speak Low German. On behalf of the state, two new anthologies are being published up Platt with adventures of the popular successor characters to the Digedags in the “Mosaic” series, as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Education Minister Simone Oldenburg (left) announced on Monday. The anthologies combined 26 individual issues with a total of around 450 pages. In addition to teaching Low German, the books deal with North German culture and the history of the Hanseatic League. Apart from the schools, the free trade should get 500 copies.
