Mühlengeez (dpa / mv) – For visitors to the MeLa agricultural fair in Mühlengeez (Rostock district), there is now no obligation to wear a mask in the exhibition tents. As a spokeswoman for the State Farmers’ Association said on Tuesday, this requirement was checked again in the State Corona Ordinance MV and suspended for the MeLa. One reason is that the agricultural fair is largely held outdoors, with the exception of four large exhibition tents. Anyone who feels safer as a visitor with mouth and nose protection in the rooms can of course put on a mask.
The MeLa is considered the largest trade fair in the north-east. It will take place in Mühlengeez from September 8th to 11th. Around 800 exhibitors from eleven countries are expected, plus around 1000 animals at the popular animal shows and lively discussions on the topics of energy and food safety at the traditional farmer’s day.
Since this time no proof of vaccination has to be checked, as in 2021, it will also be faster at the entrance, said the spokeswoman. Before the Corona period, more than 60,000 guests came over four days. The organizers are MAZ Messe- und Ausstellungszentrum GmbH and the Landesbauernverband MV.
