Eching (dpa / lby) – Unknown people blew up an ATM in Eching in Upper Bavaria. According to the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA), it is the 19th case of this type in the Free State this year – and thus an increase on the previous year. Throughout 2021, criminals in Bavaria blew up 17 ATMs.
In the current case, the perpetrators had blown up a savings bank machine with explosives early on Tuesday morning. They then fled in an unknown direction in what was believed to be a dark-colored car. The State Criminal Police Office is now investigating. Experts from the Forensic Institute in Munich will examine the explosives more closely in the coming days.
