Schwerin (dpa / mv) – A cyclist and an e-scooter driver were injured in two accidents in Schwerin. As a police spokesman said on Monday morning, when turning right at a traffic light in the Lankow district, a truck driver probably overlooked the right of way of a 16-year-old cyclist who stopped next to him and also had green at the traffic light. The youth fell under the truck driving to the right, where he was freed by the fire brigade.
The cyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not said to be in danger. An expert from Dekra is to investigate the course of the accident.
A few hours earlier, a 32-year-old driver with an electric scooter drove past a parked car in the Paulsstadt district. At this point, the motorist suddenly opened the door. The e-scooter driver hit it and fell.
