Kiel (dpa / lsw) – SV Sandhausen is still waiting for a sense of achievement after the third away game of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team coached by Alois Schwartz lost 1-0 (0-0) to Holstein Kiel on Sunday afternoon. It is also the third defeat in a row for SVS, which remains in 14th place in the table. Steven Skrzybski scored the winner from Kiel from about 25 meters away (72nd minute).

It was obvious to the hosts that after the 7-2 debacle in Paderborn the previous weekend they wanted to avoid mistakes and counterattack opportunities for the guests. Since the sand houses also contributed little to the design of the game, a game developed that was mainly characterized by mutual scanning. The guests had the best opportunity when the central defender Alexander Schirow headed in from five meters in the 39th minute. Holstein keeper Thomas Dähne safely parried the centrally placed ball.

Even after the change of sides, the game remained at a very manageable level. It was only Skrzybski’s long-range shot that brought the game to life and a happy home win for Kiel.
