Aschersleben (dpa/sa) – More than 200 straw bales burned in a field near Schackenthal in the Salzland district. They were completely destroyed by the fire on Sunday morning, according to the police in Bernburg. 21 firefighters responded to extinguish the fire. The adjacent state road 85 had to be closed to traffic for a short time. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. The damage is estimated at around 7,000 euros.
