Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) – An unknown person first stole a car in Ingolstadt, crashed it into a stranger’s garage and then fled on a bicycle. As the police announced on Sunday, the stranger entered a garden at night, took a car key lying on the terrace and drove away in the associated car. However, he did not get far: after just a few meters he crashed into the garage of a neighboring house, it was said. He damaged the garage door as well as a car and a motorcycle in the garage. Video from a surveillance camera showed the perpetrator escaping on a bicycle. It was unclear whether the bike was stolen. According to the police, there was damage of a good 10,000 euros.
