Weiden (dpa / lby) – Three days after a sword attack in Weiden, the police are asking for further witness information. A 65-year-old woman is suspected of having attacked three men in the Upper Palatinate city on Tuesday, and she is said to have previously attacked a passer-by in nearby Vohenstrauss. The woman was placed in a psychiatric ward. According to the investigation, the woman could have had “contact with Zwiesel” the week before, the police said on Friday. Anyone who saw the woman or her car in a conspicuous way should contact the police, it said.
The suspect is accused of attempted murder in combination with dangerous bodily harm and violation of the weapons law. The attacked men in Weiden are 46, 58 and 61 years old. Two of them have been injured. A 63-year-old passer-by was affected in Vohenstrauß.
