Dusseldorf (dpa / lnw) – Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) wants to make a government statement on projects of the black-green coalition next Wednesday in the first state parliament session after the summer break. It is the first item on Parliament’s agenda, according to an overview published on Wednesday.
Wüst had announced the government statement in the state press conference on Friday before the end of the month. He will explain in detail “how we look at the major tasks, what responsibility we derive from them and what the focus of action is for us,” he announced to the journalists.
The NRW head of government had described the drought as a “creeping natural disaster”. He is demanding another relief package from the federal government. Energy prices and energy supply are also extremely relevant for job security.
According to an application by the CDU and the Greens on the subject of the gas crisis, the state government should support the federal government in order to ensure security of supply and to avoid the declaration of the gas emergency level. The government should accelerate the use of renewable energies.
In an application, the SPD demands, among other things, that the state government should issue energy vouchers for the direct payment of electricity and gas bills and set up an emergency fund with 300 million euros for people who are threatened with electricity and gas blockages.
