Krefeld (dpa / lnw) – The Autobahn 57 will be closed in both directions at the weekend on a section between Krefeld-Oppum and Meerbusch. The closure begins on Friday (26 August) at 10 p.m. and lasts until Monday (29 August) 5 a.m., the federal Autobahn GmbH announced on Tuesday. The reason for the closure is the demolition of a temporary pedestrian bridge that was temporarily erected for the construction of the new bridge. Traffic is to be diverted via the A44, A52, A3 and A42 motorways. The A57 leads north to Nijmegen in the Netherlands and south to Cologne.
