Bayrischzell (dpa / lby) – A fatal car accident in which a 38-year-old fell twelve meters down a slope went undetected for at least a day or two. The crash happened on federal highway 307 near Bayrischzell (Miesbach district). It was not until early Monday afternoon that the Miesbach Police Inspectorate was informed about a crashed car on Alpenstrasse, near Sudelfeld, she said.
According to her, the 38-year-old driver from Pullach in the Isar valley (Munich district) drove north to the right and fell off the road. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of the accident. The cause of the accident is still unclear.
According to the police, several volunteer fire brigades supported the accident recording, which lasted several hours. The B307 was blocked on one side for around two hours. The accident probably remained hidden for so long because the spot where it happened is difficult to see from the street, according to police. The damage to the totally demolished accident car is said to be around 15,000 euros.
