Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – Dinner on the stovetop set fire to an apartment in Mannheim. As the police said on Sunday, a man fell asleep on Saturday night while his food was on the stove. The 36-year-old suffered smoke inhalation and rescue workers took him to a hospital. Officials estimate the damage at $120,000. The apartment was no longer habitable.
