Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – North Rhine-Westphalia’s Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) has called the current drought a “creeping natural disaster”. The drought has “enormous consequences,” Wüst told journalists in Düsseldorf on Friday. Last year’s flood disaster and the current “drought year” showed “how vulnerable our natural foundations of life are.” This can only result in ambitious work on climate protection.
