Felsberg (dpa / lhe) – A truck collided with an ambulance on a federal road in northern Hesse. As the Schwalm-Eder police announced on Thursday, both vehicles on the B253 were on fire. The 25-year-old passenger in the ambulance was slightly injured, the 22-year-old driver and the 83-year-old truck driver were unharmed. Nevertheless, all three were taken to a clinic, according to the police.
According to the information, the emergency vehicle drove in the direction of Felsberg with blue lights on Thursday when the truck wanted to turn onto the main road. According to the police, the driver overlooked the other car, so that the two vehicles collided. There was no patient in the ambulance. The police estimated the damage at 600,000 euros. The route was closed for salvage work.
