Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – Two men have been in front of the Frankfurt Regional Court since Thursday for serious robbery and dangerous bodily harm. According to the indictment, the 25- and 26-year-old lured a 22-year-old from Bavaria to Frankfurt in November 2020, where he was supposed to take over a car for 20,000 euros. After picking up the buyer at the airport, the journey suddenly went to a parking facility, where the cash they had brought with them was demanded and then an animal repellent spray was said to have been used. In addition, the victim received kicks and punches and lost the 20,000 euros. The perpetrators left the man in the park.

Both defendants refused to testify in court. The victim also remained silent on the witness stand, pointing out that he might otherwise accuse himself of a crime. The background could be the fact that hashish pressed in plates was found in the accused’s car, which a police officer confirmed as a witness. The car, which was said to be sold, was never seen by any of the officers and witnesses. In this context, the presiding judge pointed out that there could also only be a conviction for bodily harm. The trial is scheduled to continue until the beginning of September with further hearings of witnesses.
