Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Sales in the manufacturing sector in Hesse increased slightly in the second quarter compared to the same period last year. They climbed by 3.4 percent to around 32.4 billion euros, according to a statement by the State Statistical Office on Wednesday. The manufacturing industry includes sectors such as car, glass, metal, wood, paper and textile production, mechanical engineering and the chemical and food industries. The statistics include data from companies with at least 50 employees.
