Alexa Gorman has been with SAP for 23 years now. The manager brings young companies together with the tech giant – but only if it suits both of them. In the new episode of “So techt Deutschland”, Gorman explains where she finds the best startups.
Alexa Gorman can hardly believe it herself: she has been working at SAP for 23 years and still feels at home at Germany’s largest software company. Gorman and her team coordinate several hundred companies that cooperate with the tech group worldwide. Gorman first worked in New York for two years, then in Paris for twelve years. She now observes the start-up scene from Berlin.
For Gorman, the cooperation is not a one-way street, in fact both sides benefit from each other. “There must be added value for both sides. Then this cooperation is really successful,” she says in the new episode of the ntv podcast “So techt Germany”.
When SAP supports startups, the group does not want to chain the founders. “We’re noticing that some startups are also partnering with other tech players,” says Gorman. Their goal is not necessarily medium-sized companies, but rather “the next SAP or the next Zalando”.
In the new episode of “So techt Deutschland”, Alexa Gorman tells us where she is looking for new partners and how the founders differ in the different countries.
