The weather will be calmer over France this Sunday, July 30 compared to the day before, the storms having been evacuated in the middle of the night, according to Météo-France. However, another alert is in place, that of forest fires. The Var is thus placed in very high vigilance, i.e. red in color. The Bouches-du-Rhône, they keep the orange color, i.e. a high risk of fire starting.

Cloudy periods will be frequent throughout the day over a good northern half of the country with, near the Channel and Hauts-de-France to the Grand Est, thicker clouds that can give light showers. Further south, the weather will be drier and brighter.

On the Pyrenees and their foothills, the sky will however remain cloudy throughout the day with sometimes a little rain. On the Massif Central and the Alps, the clouds will still be numerous and sometimes accompanied by rain in the morning, then sunny spells will develop in the afternoon. On the rest of the country, sunny periods will largely dominate.

The Mistral and the Tramontane will be moderate, but the westerly wind over Corsica will blow up to 60 to 70 km/h. Temperatures will drop, the minimums will be between 12 and 17 degrees on the northern half, between 14 and 19 degrees in the south, between 20 and 23 on the Mediterranean rim. The maximum will be 20 to 25 degrees on the northern half, locally 18 or 19 near the English Channel or the Belgian border, they will be 23 to 28 degrees in the south, 28 to 33 on the Mediterranean rim, up to 34 or 35 in Gard or Var.
