Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: dead man found in the field: the police are examining a missing person

Grimmen (dpa / mv) – A passer-by found a dead person in a field near Grimmen (West Pomerania-Rügen). A police spokeswoman said on Tuesday that a death investigation was underway to establish the man’s identity, the circumstances surrounding his death and the cause of his death. The woman reported the find on Monday. The police are now checking whether it is a 38-year-old man who has been missing in the region since the beginning of July. An immediate identification of the clothed corpse was not possible, it said.
