Highly anticipated by Formula 1 fans, Joseph Kosinski’s film, which will explore the world of motor racing, is on the way to a little delay. Because its star actor, Brad Pitt, has decided to interrupt his work, in support of the strike which is in full swing in Hollywood, indicates Sky News. “Filming has now come to a halt as Brad Pitt stands firmly by his fellow actors’ union members,” confirmed the British agency PA.

Since July 14, the SAG-AFTRA union, which brings together 160,000 film and television professionals, has joined the screenwriters’ strike, which began in early May in Hollywood to demand, among other things, guarantees against the abuses of platforms and use of artificial intelligence. Many stars have already expressed their solidarity with the movement, like actor Will Smith. In turn, Brad Pitt lends his support by putting his filming on hold.

If the title of Joseph Kosinski’s film is not yet known, we already know that Brad Pitt will play an aging pilot who has decided to come out of retirement to face a rising talent from his stable, played by the Briton Damson Idris. Filming is expected to resume in November, provided an agreement is reached by then with unions in Hollywood.

The feature film, co-produced by racing driver Lewis Hamilton, is due for release on Apple TV.
