Postmünster (dpa / lby) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Sunday near Postmünster (Rottal-Inn district). The 21-year-old motorcyclist and the 28-year-old driver crashed into each other head-on with their vehicles, the police said on Monday night. The 21-year-old was thrown into the ditch with his machine. There he remained injured with several broken bones and was then taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter. The driver suffered shock but was otherwise unharmed. The exact cause of the accident was not yet clear. The road was closed for several hours in the evening.
