Leipzig (dpa / lby) – The unclear situation about a possible change from Konrad Laimer from Bundesliga soccer club RB Leipzig to FC Bayern Munich puts little strain on RB coach Domenico Tedesco. “Of course nobody wants these floating issues. Neither the player, nor the club, certainly not the coach. But time is running out for us, at some point we will not give up a player anymore,” said Tedesco on Friday and emphasized that if a player would be handed over, the club itself would have to become active again: “The later we would let a player go, the less time we would have to react ourselves.”
Laimer is very professional and focused. He speaks to him every now and then whether there is a new status. “But it’s not a big issue. He trains well and is very attentive on the pitch. You can rely on Konni Laimer 100 percent,” said Tedesco.
The 25-year-old has a contract with RB that is valid for another year. According to reports, he would like to switch to Bayern. “Of course we talked about Konrad Laimer. At the moment there is nothing to say about it,” Munich’s CEO Oliver Kahn said recently on the sidelines of the Supercup against Leipzig.
