Vaihingen an der Enz (dpa/lsw) – Three people were injured in a rear-end collision involving four vehicles. A dump truck driver had turned onto the federal highway 10 near Vaihingen an der Enz (Ludwigsburg district) and overlooked the vehicles standing at a red traffic light, the police said on Wednesday.

The dump truck drove with full force on a car belonging to a 42-year-old on Wednesday afternoon. He was seriously injured in the impact. His car was pushed onto another car by the force. This also crashed into the vehicle in front of it. Two other people were slightly injured in the impact.

All three of the injured were taken to hospitals. Two cars and the dump truck were destroyed and had to be towed away. There was damage of around 45,000 euros. The main road was completely closed at times, which led to delays in traffic.
