Thiendorf (dpa/sn) – On the way back from a cup game, several football fans were attacked in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Autobahn 13 near Thiendorf (Meissen district). As the police announced on Tuesday, so far nine victims are known, including six slightly injured.

According to the information, around 30 strangers ran into the parking lot and the restaurant on Monday evening. They hit guests seemingly indiscriminately. The attackers were mostly masked. According to the police, numerous football fans from Berlin, who had previously attended the DFB Cup match between Chemnitzer FC and Union Berlin in Chemnitz, were among the guests in the restaurant. Bags and fan articles were stolen from some, and several cars were damaged.

Some of the perpetrators are said to have worn Dynamo Dresden fan clothing. A 21-year-old who is believed to have been involved in the robbery was arrested on Tuesday night. The police are investigating, among other things, because of serious breaches of the peace and are looking for witnesses to what happened.
