Hilaria Baldwin (38) writes on Instagram that her husband Alec Baldwin (64) allegedly has “enemies” who want to “destroy” him. Getting to know the actor’s world was “a pleasure” but also an experience that opened her eyes.
On the one hand, she is grateful “forever” and “every day”, among other things, having experienced many “wonderful moments”, meeting “incredible people” and having built a family with him. On the other hand, she also got to know a “darker part” when “looking behind the curtain”. She speaks of the way the film business can work and of the “sacrifices” that someone who is in the public eye has to make, who stands up for what he believes in and who helps other people.
“Enemies of these missions strive to destroy you in order to delegitimize your voice and your purpose,” writes Hilaria Baldwin on a joint picture of the two. It’s easy to denigrate people or take things out of context. She is the one who sees the actor in his “dark moments”, in the “human moments”. Both he and she are sometimes dehumanized, but “so many” love him and they are there for Baldwin to lean on and feel safe.
It’s not clear what alleged enemies Baldwin’s wife might be referring to, or if there’s a specific reason for the post. At least in the past, the actor has repeatedly caused irritation and has not only made positive headlines over the years.
Baldwin was also criticized after a tragic incident on the set of the western “Rust”. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died in October 2021 at the age of 42 after a prop gun bullet went off in Baldwin’s hands. Director Joel Souza (49) was also hit and had to be treated in the hospital.
At the beginning of the year, numerous media outlets rumored that Baldwin might not be cooperating sufficiently with the authorities investigating the incident. “Since that tragic accident, Mr. Baldwin has always cooperated with the authorities, any impression to the contrary is simply wrong,” his lawyer said in January, according to the New York Times.
