After more than 20 years, the television presenter Ralph Caspers is giving up the knowledge program “Wissen macht Ah!” away. The 50-year-old takes care of “new and other projects,” said West German Broadcasting (WDR) on Thursday in Cologne at the request of the German Press Agency.
In the new episodes from September, Caspers will no longer be part of the moderator duo with Clarissa Corrêa da Silva. He will be succeeded by Tarkan Bagci. The children’s show “Knowledge makes Ah!” runs among others in the first and on the KiKA.
However, Caspers will continue to be shown in WDR television formats. Among other things, he appears in the formats “Quarks” and “The show with the mouse”, as the broadcaster announced.
The newcomer to the children’s show is comedian, author and podcaster Tarkan Bagci. In the past he worked as an author for Jan Böhmermann’s satirical show “Neo Magazin Royale” and is currently part of the team of the late-night show “Studio Schmitt”.
Bielefeld, born in 1995, said on Instagram about his new job: “I hope that I can give back at least a fraction of what Ah! gave me as a child.” If you had told him 20 years ago that he would one day host the show, he probably would have said, “AHHH! HELP! There’s a stranger in my room!! MAMA!”
